San Jose, CA, Sep 1, 2009: Following on the success of the Zinnet CinemaCube , Zinnet announced today that CinemaTube, the next generation product, has been released, and will shake things up in the high-definition media player and streamer market this fall. The CinemaTube is a USB hard drive-based high-definition media player that can also stream users’ entertainment collection from a PC to a TV. It also does what the CinemaCube was known for – PC-free torrent download.
Die-hard movie snobs will be happy to know that the CinemaTube is equipped with the most advanced technology. Through the HDMI output, the device supports full 1080p high-definition video quality in a wide variety of formats, including H.264, MKV, Dixv HD, MOV, VC-1, and FLV. In terms of audio, not only does it support Dolby surround sound, but it also downmixes DTS files to stereo.
“We design our products for the modern lifestyle,” says Robert Lo, Chief Operating Officer of ZINNET. “For example, those who are hosting a movie night, a cocktail party or organizing a slide show for a wedding will appreciate that they can now edit their own playlist. You don’t have to insert DVD after DVD on movie night, hire a DJ for your cocktail party or pay for photo slide show production at your events. The CinemaTube can handle all that,” Lo said.
Lo added, “Now there are more reasons to say goodbye to your cable subscription. The CinemaTube is compatible with UPnP devices, so if you install third-party applications such as PlayOn or Tversity on your computer and connect the computer and the CinemaTube to the same network, the device sends Hulu, CBS, ESPN and CNN straight to your TV.”
The CinemaTube is available for USD 99.99 during the pre-order period on Amazon.com.

San Jose, CA, June 1, 2009: ZINNET®, a leading provider of multi-media and home networking solutions, today unveiled the CinemaCube (model number BV-5003), a high-definition multi-media player and BitTorrent downloader with networking capabilities. To use the device, simply connect it to your TV and plug in a USB mass storage device in NTFS, EXT-3 or FAT32 format. The photos, movies and music in the USB device then instantaneously become living room-ready home entertainment. brite-View’s CinemaCube is available on Amazon.com for $89.99.
The CinemaCube is energy-efficient and protects the PC and USB drives from virus attacks. It comes with built-in BitTorrent client, so BT download is now computer free. After finding the desired torrent seeds and storing the seeds in the hard drive, users can detach the hard drive and plug it into the CinemaCube which manages the downloading to your NTFS or EXT-3 hard drive. Since it only takes 10 watts to run the CinemaCube but 100 watts just to turn your computer on, using the CinemaCube saves at least 90% of the energy used to run a computer. Users do not need to convert media content to other formats, or burn CDs or DVDs before enjoying the content because CinemaCube supports Xvid, RMVB, WMV, AVI, MP4, MKV, H.264, MP2, MP3, JPEG, BMP and PNG. It does not, however, recognize EXE or RAR, which are favorite hideouts for many viruses.
“It’s like I tell CinemaCube what I want, and it works hard to get it for me when I’m sleeping,” says Robert Lo, the Chief Operating Officer of ZINNET.
“Times are hard, and many people have had to cancel their cable subscriptions just to make ends meet,” says Lo. “They think their watching-TV-together family days are gone, and their favorite movies and shows, too. But thanks to the CinemaCube, the future of home entertainment is here, and it is affordable,” Lo says. “Besides watching movies stored on an external hard drive on TV, consumers can also obtain entertainment content on a remote PC sharing the same network with the CinemaCube, and they can enjoy all the photo albums, movies and music on an HD TV in the living room with their loved ones.”
“Home cinema is more comfortable and far less crowded than the public movie theater. Besides, you can talk all you want, and you don’t have to turn off your cell phone,” Lo jokes.
The CinemaCube is now available on Amazon.com for $89.99. For additional information on the CinemaCube, visit www.brite-view.com. ZINNET offers CinemaCube samples to reputable media outlets for product reviews.
